Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [COUNTRY] (“we”) for the fluent.dance app and its content. By using the app you accept them. If you subscribe through Apple's App Store or Google Play, the store's own terms apply to the payment as well.
Who can use the app
You must be at least 13 years old, or 16 where the law of your country sets that age, to use the app. If you use it on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for them.
What the app is
fluent.dance is a library of dance courses made up of classes and videos, plus practice challenges. Some content is free. The rest is included in one or more subscription plans. The app works without an account; signing in with Apple or Google is optional and lets your practice history follow you to another device.
Subscriptions
- Every plan is an auto-renewing subscription. There are no one-time or lifetime purchases.
- The price, currency and billing period are shown before you buy. They come from the store for your country. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase.
- Renewal is automatic. Your subscription renews at the end of each billing period, and the renewal is charged to your store account within 24 hours before the period ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Plans are separate subscriptions. Each plan you hold is billed and cancelled on its own. Holding several plans at once is allowed, and each runs independently.
- Where a free trial is offered, its length and the price after it are shown before you start it, and it converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel any subscription at any time in your store account settings: for Apple, under Subscriptions in your Apple ID settings; for Google, under Subscriptions in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal. The period you have already paid for runs to its end, and access stops after it.
Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy, and any statutory right of withdrawal is exercised through the store. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through a store.
Overlapping subscriptions
Because plans are separate subscriptions, buying a plan that already includes what another plan you hold covers means you are billed for both until you cancel one. When that happens the app tells you which subscription is now redundant and links you to the store page where you can cancel it. We cannot cancel a subscription for you.
Plans and content changes
- We add courses to plans over time. We never remove a course from a plan you subscribe to. If a plan needs to change, we create a new plan and stop selling the old one, and a plan we stop selling stays fully available to everyone who holds it.
- Prices are set per store country and can change. We tell you before a change takes effect, and it never applies to a period you have already paid for.
- We may retire a course only after every plan that includes it has stopped selling and its subscriptions have run out.
Your licence to the content
While your subscription is active we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to stream and, where the app offers it, download the content it covers for your own learning. You may not record, copy, share, redistribute, sell, publicly perform or teach from the content, or remove any notice on it. All rights in the content, the app and the fluent.dance name and marks remain with us and our licensors.
Downloads
Downloaded classes play only while a subscription covering them is active. When it lapses they lock, and they are deleted from the device 30 days after the subscription's expiry. Subscribing again within those 30 days restores them without downloading again.
Accounts
You are responsible for the sign-in method you use with the app. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which removes your account record and synced practice history from our servers. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in your store account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to circumvent the app's access controls or device limits, share your subscription beyond your own devices, interfere with the service, or use automated means to extract content.
Health and safety
Dance is physical activity. Warm up, use a safe space, and stop if something hurts. Consult a medical professional before starting if you have a condition that could be affected. You use the content at your own risk.
Availability and changes to the app
We may change, suspend or withdraw features of the app, and we may stop offering the app in a country, with reasonable notice where the change affects a paid subscription. We work to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted access.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app and its content are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, and nothing removes the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [GOVERNING LAW], and disputes are heard by the courts of [VENUE], except that if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change we update the version and date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the new terms. Previous versions stay available from this page.
